Non si dia l’immagine di un Comune e di un territorio all’anno zero. Non è così. Ogni Amministrazione ha “fatto” e ha scelto le priorità che il momento esigeva. Dire cosa è più utile, è esercizio sbagliato. Tutto serve. Tranne che dimenticare.
Capaccio Paestum è una città che, da tempo, ha problemi di memoria. Ci si scontra col passato, l’unica risorsa seria che davvero abbiamo. Questo nostro Comune è stato tra i primi in tutto. Tanto è stato fatto, tantissimo. Ogni Sindaco, così come quello attuale, ha perseguito quelle che erano le priorità del momento. Alle tante Amministrazioni Comunali della Prima Repubblica dobbiamo la caparbietà (di Comune e Consorzio insieme) di aver accompagnato con infrastrutture serie la Riforma Agraria del 1950 portando alla vita una Piana fino ad allora paludosa e malarica. Capaccio Paestum è stato il primo Comune della zona ad avere un PRG (1983). Agropoli ci è arrivata nel 2020. Con Pasquale Marino, nel 2001, questo Comune è stato il primo a Sud di Salerno ad avere un impianto di Depurazione, a cui da tempo si stanno collegando anche gli altri Comuni (facciano in fretta, così anche loro potranno dire di avere le fogne). Tutti i Sindaci degli ultimi 20 anni hanno fatto “cose”, scegliendo le priorità e le necessità che i tempi imponevano. La prima Amministrazione Marino (1995) realizzò il sistema di arredo urbano di Capaccio Scalo (fino ad allora si camminava nella “zanga”). L’Amministrazione Sica investì nel 2004 sulla Raccolta Differenziata quasi 10 milioni. Con Marino 3 (2007-2011) è stata completata in modo definitivo tutta la Rete Fognaria cittadina, in un territorio immenso, estesa la Raccolta Differenziata anche a fascia costiera e zone rurali ed edificata la nuova scuola a Borgonuovo. Italo Voza ha scelto di investire sul Metano, sull’Ex Macello, sulla Piscina, sul campo sportivo a Capaccio Scalo e la nuova scuola al Rettifilo. Il compianto Sindaco Palumbo su Via Magna Graecia, il campo sportivo al Capoluogo, l’asilo al Rettifilo. Ora vi è Franco Alfieri, che in egual modo sta investendo su altri progetti ed interventi (seppur ne contestiamo il ricorso continuo per finanziarli a mutui che stanno esponendo le casse comunali a criticità che destano preoccupazioni per i tempi a venire). Ma lasciamo stare il passato, non lo denigriamo. Non diamo l’immagine di un Comune e di un territorio all’anno zero. Non è così. Ognuno ha scelto le priorità che il momento esigeva.
