La delibera di Giunta Comunale n. 759 del 29 dicembre 2022 è la conferma tangibile del fatto che qualcuno non ha realmente ancora capito dove si trova, quali sono le associazioni che ha il dovere di tutelare ed aiutare nell’espletamento delle loro attività e come si porta avanti un’equa distribuzione delle risorse. Con l’atto sopracitato, il Comune di Capaccio Paestum ha concesso alla società sportiva New Basket Agropoli Paestum il contributo economico di euro 5.000,00 (Cinquemila) a copertura delle spese per l’attività agonistica. Il provvedimento rappresenta un oltraggio alle tante società sportive e calcistiche che operano a Capaccio Paestum facendo sacrifici abnormi per portare avanti campionati importanti con spese ingenti senza avere alcun aiuto dall’Amministrazione Comunale se non briciole e certamente meno dei 5mila euro dati al basket agropolese. Uno dei primi a notare tale anomalia è stato l’ex Assessore allo Sport, Franco Sica, il quale sarcasticamente ha dichiarato: “Attenzione, si chiama Basket Agropoli Paestum anche se con sede ad Agropoli da tanti anni. Per esempio, io vado a Milano entro in una società di pallacanestro che si chiama ASD Milano Basket, faccio aggiungere il nome di Paestum e chiedo e posso ottenere 5.000 euro dal Comune di Capaccio Paestum”. Non è la prima volta che una cosa del genere capita. Già lo scorso anno, la maratona organizzata da una Associazione di Agropoli ha ricevuto dal Comune di Capaccio Paestum ben 10mila euro di contributo. Al contempo, la storica Lampadodromia, organizzata da una Associazione di Capaccio Paestum, bellissima iniziativa che coinvolge tutte le contrade della nostra cittadina, non ha ricevuto dal Comune neppure 1 euro.
