Social network e iper-connessione, il tema presente anche nelle tracce di maturità.
Quando si parla di social network si pensa subito a Facebook, Twitter, Instagram e così via, insomma quelle piattaforme maggiormente utilizzate dalla generazione dei Millenials attraverso l’utilizzo dello smartphone cellulare. Bisogna fare un passo indietro nella storia dei social però, poiché ci sono diverse tematiche quali la privacy, i contenuti condivisi e la dipendenza da queste piattaforme, alle quali non tutti danno il giusto peso. I social infatti nascono intorno agli anni ‘90 con l’obiettivo di incrementare le conoscenze con gli altri utenti, con il passare del tempo però queste piattaforme, dal momento che vengono utilizzate da milioni se non miliardi di utenti, sono state spesso oggetto di discussione, questo a causa di differenti questioni, tra cui la privacy e la già citata “iper-connessione”. Per quanto concerne la prima, nella natura stessa dei social vi è una trasparenza totale di molti dei dati che noi stessi condividiamo, tuttavia le nostre informazioni possono essere tracciate sia all’interno dei social stessi sia nella navigazione generale in rete. Osservando infatti tutti i nostri spostamenti sui vari siti spesso nelle piattaforme sono presenti pubblicità mirate ai nostri precisi interessi generando per esempio un impulso automatico ad acquistare un determinato prodotto. Per quanto riguarda invece l’iper-connessione, che può essere definita come la tendenza e il bisogno di rimanere costantemente connessi a internet e utilizzare i mezzi tecnologici, si può facilmente notare che questa sia presente soprattutto tra i più giovani, che hanno il bisogno quasi “automatizzato” di essere connessi alla rete e quindi ai social. È proprio per questo motivo che è stato presente il tema all’interno delle tracce di maturità di quest’anno, infatti ai maturandi è stata proposta la lettura di uno stralcio del saggio “Tienilo acceso” di Vera Ghena e Bruno Mastroianni in cui gli autori discutono dei rischi della rete, soprattutto in materia di web reputation. Agli studenti viene chiesto nello specifico se nel proprio percorso di studi hanno avuto modo di affrontare queste tematiche e di riflettere sulle potenzialità e sui rischi del mondo iperconnesso. La presenza del tema dell’iper-connessione è un’ulteriore aggiunta al fatto che ormai la distinzione tra virtuale e reale non è più così netta come in passato, basta osservare i dati di Datareportal, per vedere che in media passiamo ogni giorno 6 ore e 58 minuti collegati a internet, cioè oltre il 40% del tempo che stiamo svegli, di conseguenza è di fondamentale importanza sensibilizzare le future generazioni all’utilizzo sempre più controllato dei social sia per tutelare se stessi che per utilizzare tutte le infinite potenzialità che la tecnologia ci offre.
