Personalmente, ho avuto l’onore e il piacere di conoscerla ed incontrarla ed è stato per me un dono che il cancro mi ha fatto. Insieme a lei e a tante altre super donne si cerca di dare voce a chi non sa come affrontare il percorso oncologico e sente soprattutto il bisogno di trovare sostegno da chi ha vissuto la stessa esperienza, di sostenere dei progetti e raccolte fondi per cercare di rendere il percorso meno complesso. Resta un progetto importante che consegna ad un ospedale il primo casco refrigerante. Resta un libro con una copertina rosa il cui titolo ha il sapore di rinascita. Ed arriva una community, un luogo sano e ricco di energia pura dove oltre mille donne hanno potuto conoscersi e fare amicizia. C’è condivisione, desiderio di non arrendersi, c’è un sentimento simile a quello tra sorelle che, pur nascendo dal niente, è più forte di qualsiasi legame umano. Oggi compio 35 anni ed entro nel mio quinto anno di terapia ormonale. Mi è stato detto tanti anni fa che sarei potuta rimanere sterile e forse non sarei riuscita ad avere un bambino. Mi hanno raccontato che quello che si vede sui giornali o si ascolta in televisione non succede solo agli altri, perché un giorno, uno qualunque, investe anche te. Mentre sei felice, progetti, senti gli ormoni correre più veloci della luce e le tue ossa sono forti e sane. Ne ho dovute sopportare tante, ho conosciuto così tante cose che non basterebbe neanche un’altra vita per avere la capacità letteraria di saperle raccontare. Però sono felice. Nonostante tutto, SONO FELICE. Vi auguro tanti compleanni come quelli che ho già vissuto io. Non con la malattia o la menopausa e i dolori, no. Ma con l’importante consapevolezza di quanto la vita rappresenti un bene assai prezioso. Una vita beffarda, birichina e qualche volta un po’ vigliacca, ma tremendamente UNICA ED INSOSTITUIBILE”.
